KKNK 2025

Programme Proposals

The KKNK takes place in Oudtshoorn, the heart of the Klein Karoo, for the 29th time from 1 to 6 April 2025!

All artists, creatives and forward thinkers are invited to submit innovative and artistic proposals for consideration.

Before submitting your proposal, be sure to read the KKNK 2025 Programme Guidelines thoroughly. These include information on criteria and selection guidelines, information on target audiences, an overview of the KKNK festivalgoers, contract types and other important information.

The KKNK 2025 Budget Template that you need for your proposal, can be downloaded here. This is only applicable to fee and co-productions (where the KKNK invests in the production, or develops the production in collaboration with partners, versus profit share agreements where the income from ticket sales is shared).

TO SUBMIT YOUR PROPOSAL

To submit your proposal, complete this form before the closing date of

Sunday 14 July at midnight

Only electronic proposals will be considered.

THE PROCESS

All proposals are evaluated by an independent evaluation panel, in collaboration with the Artistic Director, in line with the evaluation criteria included in the KKNK 2025 Programme Guidelines. Preliminary and final selection will be sent out by the KKNK office thereafter.

KKNK 2026

We are already encouraging programme proposals that can be earmarked for future festivals. This provides an opportunity for long-term planning. If you have a proposal for the KKNK in 2026, feel free to send it to Hugo Theart at hugo@kunste.org.za.
