Before you submit your application, first read the KKNK 2026 Programme Guidelines thoroughly. It includes information about the criteria and selection guidelines, target markets, an overview of the KKNK's festivalgoers, contract types and other important information.
The KKNK 2026 Budget Template that you require, can be downloaded here.
Submit your proposal electronically with this form, before the closing date of
Monday 14 July 2025 at midnight.
Only electronic proposals will be considered.
All applications are evaluated by an independent evaluation panel, in collaboration with the Artistic Director, according to the evaluation criteria included in the KKNK 2026 Programme Guidelines. Following this process, provisional and final selection results are sent via the KKNK office.
We actively encourage production proposals that can be considered for future festivals, allowing for effective long-term planning. If you have a proposal for the 31st KKNK in 2027, please send it to Hugo Theart at hugo@kunste.org.za
