General stalls are any of the following: clothing, accessories, shoes, art, handmade products, jewellery etc.

Food and Deli stalls are any of the following: ready-cooked meals (take-away) and/or ready-made food (sweets, biscuits, dried fruit etc.) and/or unsealed food products (biltong, ice cream etc.).

If you are applying for an outside stall, indicate the exact size of your stall (including overhang, tow bar, advertising boards, fitting room etc.).

KKNK 2026: TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR STALLS

Applications 

  • Read all the information carefully.
  • One application represents one stall or one adjoining double stall. Therefore, two applications must be submitted for two separate stalls.
  • A non-refundable admin fee of R350 (VAT included) is pay¬able per application to cover admin costs incurred for the processing and screening of your application.
  • Bank: Absa; Account name: Kunste Onbeperk; Account #: 406 333 5414; Branch code: 632 005; Reference: Name of your stall.
  • TAKE NOTE: Applications will only be processed once the administration fee has been paid.
  • Applications received after the closing date of 28 February 2026 will be processed, subject to available space and meeting the criteria as mentioned above, which includes the payment of an administration fee.
  • A maximum of three (3) stalls will be allocated per owner.

 

Attach the following documentation to your application

General stalls

  • Copy of your identity document or a valid work permit (if you are not a South African citizen).
  • Sufficient visual material for selection purposes for example social media links or pictures, need to accompany the application (even if you have previously had a stall with the KKNK).
  • Proof of payment of the administration fee (R350). Stall name to be used as a reference.
  • A valid SAMRO license (where applicable).
  • A copy of a second-hand dealer certificate, where applicable.
  • Second-hand dealers must apply for a temporary second-hand license [SAPS601(D)] for the KKNK. Please contact Warrant Officer D.W. Beer at 044 203 9199 with any inquiries.

Food and Deli stalls

The abovementioned is required, as well as the following:

  • A copy of a valid certificate of acceptability for food from your own municipality. If the certificate was not issued by the Garden Route District Municipality, you must obtain an additional competency certificate from them to trade with food at the KKNK.
  • A copy of a valid gas certificate where applicable.

Stall rental 

  • Stall rental is for the duration of the festival and prices include VAT as indicated. An electricity point is included where indicated, but only for a light, a card machine, a fan, and a cell phone charger. If you require more electricity, please indicate as such on the form.

 

Infrastructure of stalls 

  • Stalls in tents are separated by a structure of 32mm steel pipes. The structure is ±2m high without any horizontal pipes or floor covering. Dividers are your responsibility. The structure can carry a weight of approximately 50kg.
  • The KKNK only provides exhibition space to outside stallholders, and no additional infrastructure.
  • The shading must be supplied by the stallholder for all outside stalls and open areas outside the tents.
  • Your infrastructure must be neat, clean, and in good condition.
  • Trailers must form part of the stall or be removed to a safe parking area. No trailers may be stored in the open spaces between the tents (the KKNK has the right to remove trailers, should stallholders not comply to these requirements)..
  • Should a stallholder cause any damage to the property or infrastructure of the KKNK, the stallholder will be responsible for the full replacement value or cost of such damage. An invoice will be issued to the stallholder and must be paid within 30 days from the date of the invoice.

 

Size of stalls 

  • The exact size of the stalls is indicated in the accompanying table. Your stall needs to include your tent pegs and/or construction (trailer/tow bar) as well as your name board. Outside stalls need to indicate their exact size. Please note that you will need to ensure the correct description and size of your stall, as the KKNK will not be held responsible for incorrect information received and no changes will be made to your allocated position once your application is approved. Should your stall size be larger than that indicated on the application form, the KKNK reserves the right to decide on the number of stalls you will need. You are only allowed to trade within your stall area.

 

Selection and notification 

Selection of stalls will be taking place on an ongoing basis, if applications meet the following criteria:

  • The application form has been completed correctly and in full.
  • The application form is completed with all the necessary documents submitted; and
  • The admin fee is paid in full.

The decision of the selection committee will be communicated via email. Selection and notification will take place throughout and up until the festival.

 

FINANCIAL MODEL: FESTIVAL MARKET STALLHOLDERS

If the KKNK implements a financial system, I undertake to make use of it.  

 

Disclaimer 

I accept that:

  • A non-refundable administration fee of R350 is payable for my stall application.
  • The KKNK may provide me with a specific payment device that must be used for all card transactions, and the transaction fees for such transactions will amount to a certain percentage. 
  • I always remain responsible for the payment of any outstanding balance of my stall fee.
  • The KKNK reserves the right to warn, fine and request any stallholder who does not comply with the payment model or other terms and conditions of the KKNK to vacate the premises.
  • My stall application(s) can be cancelled by the KKNK or myself before the acceptance of a contract.
